Training

The health and safety team deliver a wide range of training sessions organised by the Professional Development Team.  Courses that are mandatory for the majority of staff are delivered on a rolling programme throughout the year.  To book on to these courses, enter the Professional Development Portal of MyDay and select the course you wish to attend from the list.  In most cases the courses alternate between Eastbourne and Lewes.

Trips and Visits Training

 

Currently we offer the following mandatory training for managers.

General health and safety training:- 

Part 1 – The law, your responsibilities, the college systems and processes, including emergency procedures

Part 2 – Risk assessments, COSHH, Trips and Visits, Driving for work and Lone Working    

Part 3 – Welfare requirements, Occupational Health – including health surveillance & stress management, Noise at Work, Hand Arm Vibration. 

The following specialist topics are offered as required, the majority of these are delivered within teams to allow the training to be tailored.

Fire Warden Training

Display Screen Equipment Training

Auto Injection Training

Red File Training

Stress Workshop
